President’s Report: China Williams

1. To determine what supplies PTA versus school pays for 5th Grade Ceremony
2. 5th Grade Gift: Commissioned watercolor of existing building to be hung in new building
3. Bylaws up for renewal next month
   1. Not planning any changes or additions
   2. Copies are available to members upon request
   3. Will vote in May
4. Upcoming events
   1. April 13 – Subway restaurant night
   2. April 19 – Jennifer Keats Curtis author visit
   3. Walk & Bike to School promotions
      1. Earth Day - April 22
      2. Stream Cleanup - April 23, 10:00 – 2:00
         1. All trash collected will count for Clean Green 15 grant contest
      3. Safe Routes to School Survey due April 25
      4. Bike with a Cop – April 30
   4. April 29 (Updated to April 27) - PJ Day and Autism Awareness
   5. May 2-6 Teacher Appreciation Week

Secretary’s Report: Justine Stull

1. Teacher Appreciation Week May 2 - 6
   1. Monday: Atwater's lunch
   2. Tuesday: Snacks and drinks
      1. Donations needed and may be dropped off by 10:00 AM  that morning    
   3. Wednesday: BricknFire food truck lunch
   4. Thursday: Homemade/bakery desserts
      1. Donations needed and may be dropped off by 10:00 AM that morning    
   5. Friday: Panera breakfast – Catonsville store donating pastries and bagels again
2. Adele Snow planning theme and décor
3. Planning student activity, possibly to be completed in café with parent volunteers
   1. Crystal Shelley to coordinate with Ms. McBride
4. Requesting gift cards valued at approximately $10 to raffle to teachers
   1. Donations may be turned in via student folders in envelopes marked with “PTA”

Vice President’s Report: Jessica Brown

1. Box Tops
   1. Within $68 of school year goal
   2. Continue submitting now and collecting throughout summer

 
Assistant Principal’s Report: Ms. McBride

1. Thanks for assembly (big hit!) and Literature Night
2. Autism awareness: classroom activities run by counselors and Light it Up Blue Pajama Day
3. Building construction continues to progress
4. Holding grade level behavior meetings and individual classroom meetings for K
5. Currently planning schedules and grouping with goal to provide as much info as possible to parents prior to end of school year
6. PARCC testing for 3rd-5th in May with schedule included in next Words to the Wise
