Vice President’s Report: Jessica Brown
1. Box Tops
a. Total for school year: $1700
b. Mrs. Mannion’s class wins popsicle party for collecting over 1000 Box Tops
c. Suggestion for next year: “Where can you collect Box Tops from” with map posted in building
d. Summer collection sheet going home with students
e. Box Tops checks get written to Westowne Elementary
f. Directly funds school support items like agendas, folders, and awards
2. SchoolKidz
a. Complete school supply kits
b. A service for families; not a fundraiser
c. Raffling $25 prize for families who place order/s
d. Very minimal orders placed so far; may not repeat next year
Principal’s Report: Mrs. Patrick
1. Assistant Superintendent Mrs. Miller recently conducted an Instructional Audit (“Learning Walk”)
a. Will share findings with staff in the fall
b. Will guide professional development goals for faculty and staff
2. STAT devices for 1st-3rd next year
a. November or December
b. 1.0 staff position with focus on coaching teachers how to use the devices to access the curriculum in the classroom
3. Bullying Prevention training grant next year for all feeder schools for Catonsville HS, including Westowne
4. Teachers/staff who have announced that they are leaving Westowne at the end of the school year:
a. Mr. Prem (Kingsville ES)
b. Mrs. Meyers (Hillcrest ES)
c. Ms. Martilotti (moving out of state)

6. 5th Grade Recognition Ceremony held in flag field with bus loop blocked off for pedestrians
