Holiday Shoppe
Holiday Shoppe is in full swing this week. Thanks to all for donating, helping run the shop, and sending in your little shoppers.
Parents and staff are welcome to shop for inexpensive gifts today from 4:15 - 6:00. Find the last of the treasures, spirit wear, and Art to Remember deliveries.
If you have a few extra minutes, please help clean up and clear out starting at 6:00 tonight. And while you're at it, give Westowne parent and Holiday Shoppe chair Katie McKnight a high five for a job well-done!
Pajama Day - with Holiday Cheer Tomorrow
Students and teachers may wear their pajamas to school tomorrow. And this month, participants may chose to wear colors from their favorite holidays, too. Everyone can get in on the fun. Those who chose to may send in a monetary donation to support entertaining and educational events like Fall Fest, Literature Night, and Field Day. The class with the most donations wins an end of year pizza party.
Top classes so far:
- Ms. Witz $313.40
- Ms. Musacchio $184.16
- Ms. Rotolo $110
Please remind your children to wear regular shoes (no slippers) and leave their stuffed animals at home. They may be wearing pajamas, but it's still a normal day of school activities.

With your support, your PTA is treating our faculty and staff to a holiday luncheon on Tuesday, December 15th. Thanks to Westowne parent Kerry Johnson and Mission BBQ for their generosity and assistance.

A Westowne favorite, presenting an all new performance: 123 Andres!
Cookies & Cards
It's time to share your favorite holiday treats and spread some cheer for Westowne's teachers and staff. On Thursday, December 17th and Monday, December 21st, bring in homemade baked goods. Drop off donations by 10:00 those mornings so we can set them up in the lounge. Sign up for baked goods to help us bring in enough quantity and variety.
Not a baker? That's okay. Send in holiday cards for the teachers and staff from your families to help us decorate the teachers' lounge. Cards can be sent in your children's folders in envelopes addressed to the PTA.
While you're at it, also consider giving cookies and cards to your bus drivers and our ever present crossing guard, Ms. Bev.
Boundary Committee
A Boundary Committee meeting was held last night. Information and the meeting videos may be found online. The committee reviewed the survey results and reviewed the four maps, along with four new variations developed based on the community's feedback. The committee will meet again next week on December 16th at 6:00. The intention of that meeting is to choose the final map to recommend to the Board of Education for their approval.
The recommendation to the Board is February 2nd at the Board of Education's Greenwood Campus. The boundary board hearing, to which the public is invited to attend and participate, is Tuesday, February 17th (snow date on 2/19) in the Catonsville High auditorium. Please mark your calendars for this important pubic input opportunity. The Board should announce the final boundary decision on Tuesday, March 1st.

Santa's Helpers at Westowne
This year, Westowne has partnered with Santa's Helpers Anonymous to help meet the holiday needs of families in our community. If you would like to support Westowne families, consider making a charitable donation directly to Santa's Helpers or signing up to volunteer. The organization will then provide holiday meals and gifts to families at our school and throughout Baltimore.
