Pajama Day - with School Colors Tomorrow
Students and teachers may wear their pajamas to school tomorrow. And this month, participants can chose to wear our school colors (blue and white) instead of or in addition to their PJs.
Everyone can get in on the fun. Those who chose to may send in a monetary donation to support entertaining and educational events like Literature Night and Field Day. The class with the most donations wins an end of year pizza party.
Top classes so far:
- Ms. Witz $326.40
- Ms. Musacchio $210.16
- Ms. Rotolo $122
Please remind your children to wear regular shoes (no slippers) and leave their stuffed animals at home. They may be wearing pajamas, but it's still a normal day of school activities.
Box Tops for Education
Thanks to all the Box Tops you turned in, our school received a check in December for $1,104.40! Please keep the Box Tops coming in!
Complete this collection sheet and turn it in by February 19th to be entered into a raffle for a $10 Panera Bread gift card. Be sure to put your student's and teacher's name on the collection sheets.

Teacher Support
Parents are encouraged to check with their teachers periodically to find out what classroom supplies they may need. Feel free to share the need in the PTA's Facebook group so other parents can help, too.
Here are some of the recent requests:
- Mrs. Albert would like wrapping paper tubes for a rain stick project. Please drop donations off in the school office labeled with the Mrs. Albert's name.
- Many classes are in need of headphones and ear buds. Please drop donations off in the school office.
PTA Meeting Recap
To keep you in the loop regardless of whether you are free on Tuesday evenings, we share the notes from the monthly business meetings. Check out our blog for the January meeting overview.

Jeans for Teens
Participate in January's Green School initiative by clearing out your closet space and donating gently-used jeans for our Jeans for Teens campaign. Used jeans will help families in our local communities stay warm this winter. Jeans of all sizes will be accepted. Please bring in your jeans to your homeroom teacher or directly to Room 5 (Mrs. Jang/Woo’s room) by Thursday, January 28.
Let’s see which class can collect the most jeans.
BCPS Summer Visual Arts Enrichment Camp
This two-week program provides students entering 3rd through 5th grade with opportunities to explore a theme through a variety of art materials as they learn about the work of various artists. Students will learn about the artistic process as they solve visual problems, develop their own interpretations of the theme, and create their own art.
