Corporate Donations
We're excited about a new approach to fundraising focusing on donations from companies and individuals. If you own or work for a company that would consider becoming a Westowne PTA sponsor, please let us know. Sponsors will be featured on our website throughout the school year and in the Blast newsletters.

Grade Parents
An entirely new program this year, grade parents will facilitate communication between teachers, families, and the PTA within each grade. Grade parents will recruit room parents for teachers at their request, collect classroom donations, and make sure the PTA provides support wherever it's needed.
We need grade parent volunteers for pre-K3, 1st through 3rd grade, special education, and specials (music, PE, and art). If you want to learn more or want to volunteer, email us.
Open Committee Positions
You make Westowne great. And we need your help. Please volunteer for upcoming events like Sneak a Peek and Back to School Night. Here are some of the ways you can pitch in:
We'd like to invite you to our monthly PTA meetings on a new day: the 2nd Tuesday of each month, at 7:00.
We spoke with you, polled membership, and had a Board of Directors vote. Overwhelmingly, the day change was well received. For those of you who have other commitments, we will strive to keep you informed and involved with our website , weekly Blast newsletters, and on Facebook .
Mark your calendars for Tuesday, October 14 at 7:00. New members are invited to attend at 6:45 to ask questions and meet the board. We look forward to seeing you all there!

If you're stocking up on products with Box Tops this summer, submit a photo of your receipt with 10 participating items, and Westowne will earn 50 eBoxTops!

Student Learning Support
Do you have woodworking skills and a few hours for a worthwhile project?
Members of the PTA are assisting Mrs. Patrick and Ms. McBride with putting together what we're calling "Sensory Boxes." Each classroom will be given a bin containing learning support tools that aim to meet children's sensory, attention, and anxiety needs. One of the tools that the special education team requested are t-stools. They are wooden stools that require a child to balance while sitting and can be very effective for helping a child sit still and pay more attention to school work.
