Catonsville Women's Giving Circle Grant
Many thanks to Susan Larson who did a fabulous job putting together the PTA's grant application to the Catonsville Women's Giving Circle! We are asking for a grant to cover the purchase of drums for the music department at Westowne. Fingers crossed that our application is selected.
Membership Award
The PTA is being awarded a 2014-2015 Membership Award from the Maryland PTA for increasing our membership numbers by 50%. Our PTA will be recognized during the 100th annual convention at the President’s dinner next month. Way to go, members!
BoxTops for Education
BoxTops provides an important revenue source for Westowne--10 cents at a time. Keep collecting over the summer with the attached collection sheet. Turn them in at the beginning of next school year for a chance to win a prize.

We've reached the end of our fiscal year and have an $8000 surplus. We'll put some of the money directly into our existing budget, but we are looking for ideas for spending $5000 on educational enrichment for the coming school year. Send us your ideas.
Annual Corporate Giving Campaign
It is that time of year when we solicit local businesses to become Westowne PTA sponsors. It is a smart and economical way to promote your business and support educational enrichment for the students. Donations of all sizes are appreciated and are tax deductible. We raised $1300 last year in corporate donations. We're hoping to raise the same this year. Contact us for a donation form and with questions.
