Book Fair
Thanks to the small army of volunteers giving a couple hours here and there to bring Book Fair to Westowne. And many thanks to Melody for organizing the entire event. Book Fair wraps up with a final shopping opportunity tonight.
PTA Meeting Recap
We are dedicated to keeping you informed. Here is the meeting recap for last week's PTA meeting.
OriolesREACH High Five Night
The 5th Grade Committee would like to sponsor a fun night at an Orioles game night for the Westowne community. It's a straightforward project perfect for a baseball fan or 5th grade parent. Proceeds will benefit this year's graduating class. Please sign up to help. Contact Lori Kleppin, who can provide the paperwork, contact information, and help set a date.
Reward Programs
We have updates for you on several of the PTA's reward programs.
Giant: The 2014-15 earning period for the A+ School Rewards Program sponsored by Giant ends today. So far we have raised $1661.14 from this program since October! Thank you to all the families that have designated Westowne Elementary on their Bonus Cards.
Safeway/eScrip: Keep in mind that Safeway contributions, managed by eScrip, is a year round program. In 2014, we raised $1232.45. Sign up now to register your Safeway Club Card. Any payment method but credit card will earn a contribution at Safeway. While you're at it, take a look at the other ways eScrip helps you support Westowne, like contributions for online shopping and dining out where credit card payments do earn a contribution.
Our Safeway contributions are significantly down in the last few months. If you have had difficulty renewing your Club Card for Westowne, please email our coordinator and she can help.
Box Tops: Box Tops is running an I Love My School Sweepstakes now through April 12th for a chance to win 50,000 bonus Box Tops for our school. That's $5,000! Enter daily.
My Coke Rewards: Due to poor return on a large investment of time, we are phasing out My Coke Rewards. There are many other Reward Programs, like those above that you can sign up for or send you trash in to benefit Westowne or to recycle. All the details are on our website.
