Claire's Gourmet Sale
Claire's pickup is today from 4:00 - 6:00 in the gym. Don't forget to come get your orders. And thank you for supporting events like Literature Night and Field Day.
Pajama Day Tomorrow
All students (teachers, too!) can show their school pride by wearing pajamas tomorrow. Monetary donations are a welcome but optional way for us to raise funds. The class that raises the most funds this school year will win an end of the year party. The top classes are currently:
Ms. Murray $137.67
Ms. Connolly $98.77
Ms. Jones $93.00
PE Twice Weekly Petition
This school year, students at Westowne have physical education twice a week. Next year, PE may be reduced to once weekly and replaced with a second vocal music or art class. Many families believe that continuing to offer a greater amount of gym time is beneficial for our children's learning, attention, and behavior. If you agree, consider signing this petition to let our administration know that we prefer to keep PE twice weekly at Westowne.
eScrip & Safeway Rewards
Safeway contributions, managed by eScrip, is a year round program. In 2014, we raised $1232.45. Sign up now to register your Safeway Club Card. Any payment method but a credit card will earn a contribution at Safeway. While you're at it, take a look at the other ways eScrip helps you support Westowne, like contributions for online shopping and dining out where credit card payments do earn a contribution.
Our Safeway contributions are significantly down in the last few months. If you have had difficulty renewing your Club Card for Westowne, please email our coordinator and she can help.
After School Club Schedule
The final days for Lego Robotics Clubs were yesterday and this coming Monday. These and other important dates are available on the PTA calendar. Many thanks to the team of parents (Hope, Dave, Lara, and Joe!) who brought these clubs to our kids.
Spring Spree - Craft & Vendor Fair
Mark your calendars for Westowne's first annual Spring Spree on Saturday, April 18th from 9:00 - 1:00. We have over 30 local vendors and crafters supporting our school and bringing their goods for sale. Help us spread the word by sharing this event with your friends and neighbors. We have the flyer on our website and a Facebook group you can share.
Book Fair & Literature Night
Many thanks to everyone who helped run these events and came out to enjoy cultures from around the world and in our own backyard!
Chuck E. Cheese's
Thanks to everyone for coming out to Chuck E. Cheese's a couple weeks ago. Westowne raised $750! We hope you had fun with family and friends while supporting your PTA.

Have your children been reading all month for the “Take the 30/30 Reading Challenge”? Completed reading logs should be mailed or emailed to MSEA. Please do not send them into school. Entries must be received by 4:45 p.m. on April 2 for the chance to win a Kindle Fire or an Amazon.com gift card.
Half Day Added
