Book Fair
The PTA sponsored Scholastic Book Fair runs next week, March 14th - 16th. Every student will get a shopping trip during school. We also run the fair during Literature Night (Thursday, March 16th, 5:30 - 8:00) so that parents and kids can shop for themselves and for their classroom libraries.

Box Tops Drawing Winner
Congratulations to third grader Avery D. for being randomly chosen as the winner of a $10 gift card to Five Below! Thanks to all the families who participated, an additional $500 worth of Box Tops were just submitted. Also thanks to Box Tops coordinator, Jessica Brown, for making compiling tens of thousands of Box Tops each year look easy.
The class that collects the most Box Tops throughout the school year will win an end of year party. So far, the top three contributing classrooms are:

Westowne PTA maintains a calendar for you to reference whenever you need a date for an upcoming event. For example, want the details on upcoming clubs and Literature Night? How about the dates for our monthly PTA meetings? See our calendar.
March PTA Meeting
Join us next Tuesday, March 14th at 7:00. Join special guests from AMS PTA and CMS PTSA as they introduce us to their middle school programs. We will also discuss the events coming up this spring, like clubs and Oriole's Night. The meeting is held in the library, so please enter the building through the courtyard at the rear of the school.
School Directory
This year, your PTA has created a school directory with the help of Join Our Class. Participating in the directory is the best way to reach your children's classmates and to send or receive party invitations throughout the school year. If you've not yet signed up this year, let us know, and we'll email you an invitation to join.

Participate in March's Green School initiative by clearing out your closet and donating gently-used or new jeans. Jeans of all sizes will be collected and then donated to local shelters. Please bring in your jeans to your homeroom teacher Monday, March 20th through Thursday, March 23rd.
