Field Day
Westowne's Field Day, including a full day of activities, Wacky Water Games, and snow cones is only a week away. Please sign up to to spend the day with your children as a volunteer. If you have questions, email the PTA and Field Day Chair, Westowne parent, Jesse Florida. All students get to participate in this traditional event on Friday, June 3rd (rain date on Monday, June 6th). Many teachers get in on the fun, too. Family members are welcome to come watch and volunteer.
Pajama & Beach Day
For the last time this year, students and teachers may wear their pajamas to school tomorrow, Friday, May 27th. Participants can chose to dress in beachwear, too. Please wear appropriate clothing including shoes, shirts, and shorts. Everyone can get in on the fun. Families may make an optional donation to support the PTA and compete to win an end of year class pizza party. Front running classes include:
Benefit Mobile
Benefit Mobile is a new app released by eScrip. The app allows families to purchase mobile gift cards, shop in store or online, and support Westowne Elementary PTA. Sign up for your eScrip Benefit Mobile Account - and you can start earning from stores like Safeway, Target, and Lowes, among many other merchants. When setting up your account, please use our group ID: 6586317.
Box Tops for Education
The contest for the end of year party ends tomorrow, May 27th. Please turn in any remaining Box Tops using a collection sheet or in an envelope. We will be sending home a summer collection sheet, too, to encourage families to continue collecting all year.
Oriole's High Five Rewards
The Oriole's gave the PTA a pair of club level tickets to a game in an upcoming series, as well as a pullover. We raffled it off to everyone who chaired a project this year. Katie McKnight, Holiday Shoppe chair, won.

Westowne's annual Volunteer Tea is Wednesday, June 8th, 9:45 - 10:45 AM. All school volunteers are welcome to attend. Please RSVP by June 1st using the flyers sent home in your child's folder or with a note to your homeroom teacher including your student's name and your name/s.
