Chuck E. Cheese's Night Tomorrow
Bring your families to the 5912 Baltimore National Pike location anytime from 3:00 until 9:00. Flyers will be sent home with all the details and special event coupons for dinner and tokens. Please mention Westowne PTA at the register.
Teachers get a free pizza or salad bar with a drink and a trip into the Ticket Blaster with their school ID. So Westowne faculty and staff, we'd love to see you there.
Boundary Committee
The Southwest Area Boundary Committee had its fifth meeting last night. Information and the meeting videos may be found online. If you find the BCPS/Cropper maps difficult to view, try this series of maps Westowne parent Matt McKnight has created.
Twelve maps were discussed, and the boundary committee members voted for their top four preferred maps. Use this email address to provide suggestions and positive feedback directly to BCPS about the proposed boundary maps.
In order for parents and community members to provide feedback to Westowne's Boundary Committee representatives (community member Chris Burk, parent Kecia Johnson, Ms. Musacchio, and Principal Palmer), we have created a devoted email address: westowneboundary@gmail.com. Please remember these kind folks are working hard for our community.
Also mark your calendar for Wednesday, November 18th at 7:00 PM at Catonsville High School. The community is encouraged to attend this Southwest Community Boundary Change Information Session. The process and top for maps will be presented. This evening provides the public with the opportunity to ask questions and provide feedback in person.
Holiday Shoppe Donations Needed
Our beloved Holiday Shoppe is coming December 8th - 10th. We need donated items that students can buy as low-cost gifts for their families.
Consider donating the following: used toys, coffee mugs, re-gifted gifts, neckties, dad gift s (always in short supply), spa products, and other gently used gift items cluttering your basement. Are you crafty? Turn your artistic skills into donated Holiday Shoppe gifts and we’ll sing your praises. Please, no glassware; it doesn't survive the bus trip home.
Donations can be put in the “well” in front of the bulletin board in the lobby. Thanks for sending in donations; keep them coming! Holiday Shoppe is one of our most successful fundraisers, and the kids have a blast. Questions or ideas? Please let us know.
Fitness Fowls Run
Get in the spirit this holiday season. Join Westowne's Fitness Fowls at the Jingle Bell Run/Walk again this year on Saturday, December 5th. Tie bells to your shoes, dress in a festive costume, and raise funds to help cure arthritis. Use our team discount code (school5) to register now. This early registration discount ends Sunday.
