Movie Night
Westowne PTA presents Movie Night tomorrow, Friday, November 18th featuring the summer blockbuster, Zootopia (PG). Admission is free, and families may bring blankets to picnic in the gym. We will have pizza, snacks, and drinks for sale. Doors open at 6:00; the show starts at 6:30.
Our beloved Holiday Shoppe is coming December 13th - 15th. We need donated items that students can buy as low-cost gifts for their families.Consider donating gently used toys, coffee mugs, re-gifted gifts, neckties, dad gifts, spa products, and other not-quite-new gift items cluttering your basement. Are you crafty? Turn your artistic skills into donated Holiday Shoppe gifts! Please, no fragile glassware or oversized items; they can't safely get home.
Donations may be brought to the school office on Monday mornings and Tuesday afternoons. Thanks so much for participating in this popular program. Questions? Please let us know.
Holiday Shoppe Volunteers Needed
Holiday Shoppe is our most successful fundraiser, and our students have a magical time. It is also one of our most labor intensive efforts. We'll need many hands to setup and run the shop. Please sign up to help. We know you will find it a rewarding, enjoyable experience!

Parents are encouraged to check with their teachers periodically to find out what classroom supplies they may need. Feel free to share the need in the PTA's Facebook group so other parents can help, too. Here are some of the recent requests:
- Our occupational therapist, Ms. Butler, would like a weekly volunteer to help with supply preparation, like copying and laminating. Please email the PTA to offer to help.
- Our nurse, Ms. Martin, needs elastic waisted pants (used, clean condition) and brand new, sealed in the original package underwear for boys or girls, sizes 4-12. Please drop donations off in the school office labeled with Ms. Martin's name.
- The National Elementary Honor Society needs to borrow artificial trees for a project in December. Small to medium, evergreen or deciduous, fake trees are needed. Please email our library media specialist, Ms. Johnson, to discuss the details.
Family Support Opportunity
Mr. Baker, the head of our school custodial team, lost his daughter-in-law in the recent MTA bus and Baltimore City school bus crash. She is survived by her children and Mr. Baker's son.
If you'd like to support Mr. Baker's family at this time, the school is collecting grocery funds through tomorrow, Friday, November 18th. You may make a cash donation to the school (no checks) or donate gift cards for Giant or Wal-Mart. Please take donations to the school office directly.
