PTA Thanks
Many thanks to the team of volunteers who have worked so hard the last couple weeks to support our school and community. Thanks to Adele Snow for finishing up the beautiful PTA display case in the main hallway, as well as prepping the ornament supplies that Westowne students get to make for the Catonsville Tree Lighting Ceremony. Thanks to Erin Furth for planning the assembly with Curtis Blues. Thanks to Hope Riley for throwing yet another fun-filled Fall Festival. Thanks to Sarah Petersen and her team for running an exciting Raffle and Silent Auction. Thanks to our 5th Grade Committee for planning and running concessions.
And thanks to the many teachers, staff, parents, and community members who made Fall Festival a great event!
Grilled Cheese & Co. Restaurant Night
Today, Thursday, November 3rd, Grilled Cheese & Co. is hosting a restaurant event for Westowne PTA. Join friends for lunch or dinner. Dine in or carry out anytime today from 11:00 AM - 9:00 PM. Just bring your flyer or mention the PTA at the register.
Pajama Spirit Day
Our monthly Pajama Spirit Day is tomorrow, November 4th. This month you can show your Westowne pride with crazy hair instead of or with your PJs!
Your PTA organizes Pajama Day and encourages those who can to make a donation to fund fun and educational events like Fall Fest, Literature Night and Field Day. The donation is very appreciated but entirely optional. If desired, please send cash or check made out to Westowne PTA in your student’s folder on Friday, November 4th.
The class with the most donations will get a class party at the end of the school year! The current class leaders are:
- Ms. Rotolo $88
- Ms. Durm / Ms. Robin $53.50
- Ms. Jones $50
Help Needed
Westowne PTA is proud to do so much, but that requires a lot of hands. Help support your child's school and the PTA by taking on a new project. Here are more details:
- Restaurant Night coordinator (this school year is planned through January; times are flexible and mostly done outside of school)
- Small team to help the Drama Club build "Pride Rock"
- Teacher Appreciation team (coordinating caterers, meals, events, and decor with lots of support)
- Fall Festival coordinator for NEXT October (with advice and support from our previous coordinator, and does not include concessions and silent auction/raffle)
Holiday Shoppe Donations Needed
Our beloved Holiday Shoppe is coming December 13th - 15th. We need donated items that students can buy as low-cost gifts for their families.Consider donating gently used toys, coffee mugs, re-gifted gifts, neckties, dad gifts, spa products, and other not-quite-new gift items cluttering your basement. Are you crafty? Turn your artistic skills into donated Holiday Shoppe gifts! Please, no glassware or oversized items; they can't safely get home.
Donations may be brought to the school office on Monday mornings and Tuesday afternoons. Thanks so much for participating in this popular program. It is one of our most successful fundraisers and the kids have a magical time. Questions? Please let us know.
