PTA Meeting
Please plan to join us for the next PTA meeting on Tuesday, January 9th at 7:00. Fifth grade parents, plan to attend so we can kick off the 5th Grade Committee projects.
Did you know that the PTA's 5th Grade Committee raises funds each year by selling concessions and game tickets--then funds t-shirts, memory books, and a Recognition Ceremony? We welcome all 5th grade parents to pitch in. Let's work together to make this last year at Westowne extra special.
Winter Clubs
We are offering Art History on Friday afternoons starting tomorrow, the 5th. We are also offering Lego Robotics on Thursday afternoons beginning January 11th.
Registration is now closed. Slots were awarded to a random selection of students. Students who were placed on the waiting list have had their funds returned. Please check your email to see if your child was enrolled in one of the clubs.

Science Night
Your PTA is bringing the Maryland Science Center to Westowne for a Family Science Night. Identify food ingredients using chemistry, extract DNA from a living organism, and more. There will also be pizza, drinks, and snacks available for purchase, benefiting the PTA's 5th Grace Committee.

This event is free for all Westowne families. It will be held at the school, in the gym--not at the Science Center.

Thanks to the many who pitched in to help us wrap up 2017 with Holiday Shoppe, Cookies & Cards, and a catered Holiday Luncheon for all the faculty and staff. Also thanks the Bass family for their generous donation. Direct donations allow the PTA to do less fundraising, while providing more for our school and community.
