Please plan to join us for the final PTA meeting this school year on Tuesday, May 15th at 7:00. All members are invited to attend and vote in the PTA election.

Voting for our Board of Education representative is new to Baltimore County this year. Southwest area PTAs and PTSAs want to assure the public learns about the candidates--and then votes both in the primary and the general election.
Please join us on Thursday, May 17th at Catonsville High to meet the candidates running to represent our area.

Box Tops
This school year we have submitted nearly $680 worth of Box Tops for Education. Thank you to everyone for your submissions! We have a few more weeks to go, so please keep clipping.
Box Tops can be submitted in envelopes, zip top bags, or attached to collection sheets. Collection sheets are optional and do not need to be complete to be sent in to school. Send in your Box Tops by the end of May to have them count towards your classroom’s total for the school year. Don’t forget to label it with your homeroom teacher, too.

Allergy Season
Allergy season is here. If your child suffers with seasonal allergies, please give them their daily allergy medication at home. Our school nurse cannot administer daily allergy medications, including eye drops, at school.

The BCPS Calendar is available online. Remember these important dates in May and June:
Pre-School, Pre-K, and Kindergarten Registration
Pre-school, Pre-K, and Kindergarten registration packets are available for pickup in the Westowne school office through tomorrow, May 11th. Please return the completed registration packet to the office. You will then receive a screening appointment by mail for either May 21st or May 22nd. Any questions, please call 443-809-0854. Please share this information with any Westowne families with children who will turn 3, 4, or 5 by September 1st, 2018.
Field Day
Save the date! On Friday, June 8th, Westowne will host a fun-filled day of games, water play, PTA sponsored snowballs, and more. The rain date is Friday, June 11th. Families are invited to come join the fun as volunteers or just to watch.
Please complete the volunteer sign up and turn it in to the PTA in your child's folder. Contact parent volunteer coordinator, Jesse Florida, with questions.
