Auction & Raffle Donations Needed
Our annual Fall Festival is Saturday, October 14th from 3:00 - 6:00. Please support this event with items for the silent auction and basket raffle.
In previous years, it has worked well for families and groups of teachers to collaborate to create baskets. Families can sponsor entire baskets on their own, too. Basket themes can be anything family or child-friendly. Suggestions include Harry Potter, Minecraft, Movie Night, Spaghetti Night, Tea & Cookies, Manicures, etc.
Fall Fest also provides an excellent opportunity to promote your business. Consultants for companies may make a donation--and share their catalogs or business cards at the event. We would like to feature services provided by Westowne parents and friends, too, ranging from massages to house cleaning.
We would also like to include breakfast or lunch with faculty and staff members for the students.
There are so many options. Please email with questions and ideas. Thank you!

Tickets for this game may be purchased online. If you'd like to sit with Westowne families, please choose tickets in section 368 and 370. Proceeds will benefit the PTA's 5th Grade Committee.

Admission is free. Bring blankets to picnic in the cafeteria. We will have pizza, drinks, and snacks for sale. Doors open at 6:00, and the movie starts around 6:30.
Box Tops
BoxTops for Education are found on product packaging, like cereal and toilet paper. We collect these little labels all year long. Last year, we raised over $1300! Help us raise money for this school year, too.Attach your Box Tops to a collection sheet with tape or glue (no staples, please!), or just put them in a zip top bag or envelope. Just include your child's name and your homeroom teacher's name on the sheet. The class that collects the most will win an end of year party.
Also congratulations to Toby S. from Mr. Landel's class for being randomly chosen as the Box Tops summer collection sheet raffle prize winner. Toby, we hope you enjoy your $10 gift card to Sweet Frog!

Fall Into Reading
Kindergarteners, 1st graders, and 2nd graders are invited to join Westowne Reading Specialist, Ms. Cvengros, for a series of primary reading nights. Please RSVP for the Tuesday, September 26th event by tomorrow, September 22nd. Simply send a note to school in your child's folder. Include your family name, student name, and homeroom teacher and label it "RSVP for Fall Into Reading with Ms. Cvengros."

Battle of the Books
Westowne Battle of the Books gives 3rd-5th grade students a chance to read great books together and compete in a fun, friendly competition at the end of the year. Help make sure there are enough copies of each book for Westowne's team. Find the wish list here, but any used or new copies of these titles are welcome. If you would like to read a book and make up questions for the competition, sign up here. Thank you for helping us make this happen!
